What if my partner has travelled to a Zika-risk area but I need to freeze sperm?

Men can freeze sperm immediately if they and their partner have abstained or used barrier contraception.

If they have not used barrier contraception, they must either:

• Wait 8 weeks if their female partner has travelled.
• Wait 3 months if their male partner has travelled.
• Take Zika serology and semen NAT tests after 4 weeks and proceed only if results are negative.
