EGG FREEZING
Take control of your fertility with expert egg freezing care, tailored support, and personalised options at Care Fertility.
Egg freezing with Care Fertility
Whether you’re planning ahead, navigating a medical diagnosis, or simply not ready to start a family just yet, freezing your eggs can help you take control of your future on your terms.
Your first step is a fertility assessment — a simple way to understand your current fertility health before making any decisions. It includes a blood test and ultrasound scan to assess your ovarian reserve, followed by a consultation with one of our fertility specialists. You'll get clear, personalised advice on whether egg freezing is right for you and what to expect next.
What is egg freezing?
Egg freezing is a way to preserve your fertility for the future. We collect your eggs, freeze them, and store them safely until you're ready to try for a baby.
Many people choose to freeze their eggs as a backup plan, just in case they need them later on. You might hope to conceive naturally one day, and you may never need to use them. But knowing they’re there can offer peace of mind and give you more options when the time comes.
People choose to freeze their eggs for lots of reasons. You might want to give yourself more time to meet the right partner, focus on your career, or prepare for medical treatment like chemotherapy that could affect your fertility. Whatever your reason, it’s your choice—and we’re here to support you.
The best time to freeze your eggs is typically in your 20s to early 30s, when egg quality and quantity are at their highest. As we age, both the number and genetic health of eggs decline, which can lower the chances of success with frozen eggs later on.
That said, everyone’s fertility is different. Even if you're over 35, egg freezing may still be a suitable option. Our doctors will assess your unique situation and give you honest advice.
Is egg freezing right for me?
Egg freezing provides the perfect opportunity to give yourself more time and options when thinking about your future and planning a family.
If you're considering egg freezing, the best place to start is with a fertility health assessment. This includes blood tests and a scan to understand your current fertility status, followed by a consultation with one of our fertility specialists. They’ll explain your results clearly and help you explore whether egg freezing is a suitable option for you.

You’re born with all the eggs you’ll ever have. Over time, your egg supply declines—this is known as your ovarian reserve. A higher reserve often means a better response to stimulation and more eggs available to freeze.
Egg quality refers to the genetic health of your eggs. Higher quality eggs are more likely to develop into healthy embryos, which increases your chances of a successful pregnancy.
We use the latest AI technology, Violet™, to assess the quality of your eggs. It gives us a clearer picture of their potential and provides you with a visual report that helps make your results easier to understand.

Your egg freezing options
We have created two egg freezing options to make things simple:
Egg Freeze – Single Cycle
One cycle | £4,850If you're in your mid-20s to early 30s and have a good ovarian reserve, a single cycle of egg freezing is often enough to give you a high and realistic chance of having a baby in future, should you need IVF. That's because eggs collected at a younger age are usually more likely to be genetically healthy.
If you'd prefer to store more eggs, for example to plan for more than one pregnancy or increase your options later on, a multi-cycle package might be a better fit.

Egg Freeze – Multi Cycle
Up to four cycles | £8,070The UK’s only multi-cycle egg freezing package, designed to give you the best possible chance of pregnancy in the future. It helps you freeze 20 eggs, the ideal number which we know gives you the strongest chance of success when it’s time for fertility treatment.
Egg numbers can vary from person to person. If your fertility tests suggest you may need more than one cycle to reach that target, this option offers more flexibility, more reassurance, and a clearer path forward.

Medication costs – what to expect
Medication is not included in either package, and costs can vary depending on your treatment needs.
- Typical range: £1,061 – £1,746
- Around 79% of egg freezing patients pay between £1,061 and £1,404
We’ll always tell you the exact cost of your medication before you commit to treatment

Personalised egg insights. Powered by Violet™.
At Care Fertility, we use Violet™ AI, an advanced artificial intelligence tool that gives you a clearer picture of your egg quality.
After your egg collection, Violet™ uses artificial intelligence to analyse images of your eggs and provides a personalised visual report, ranking each egg’s quality based on specific characteristics. It’s a bit like getting a detailed scorecard for each egg, something that wasn’t possible before.
Why it matters:
- You can see how many of your eggs are considered higher quality
- It helps you and your doctor make more informed decisions about future treatment
- You get an added layer of insight and reassurance
- The report is easy to understand - with visuals, not medical jargon
We include Violet™ as standard with all egg freezing at Care Fertility, as part of our commitment to transparency and informed choice.
Violet uses advanced AI technology to assess egg quality, giving you a visual report that helps make sense of your results. It won’t affect your eggs or your treatment in any way. It’s simply there to give you and your team more clarity when it matters most.

Once your eggs are collected, our embryologists carefully prepare and freeze them using vitrification—a rapid freezing method that helps protect the quality of your eggs.
-
Your frozen eggs are safely stored at our licensed facility, ready for whenever you’re ready to use them.
We’ll always keep you informed at every stage, and our team is here if you have any questions along the way.
Egg freezing success rates
Around 85% of eggs survive the freeze and thaw process when using vitrification, which is the most advanced freezing method we have. But it’s important to know that survival alone doesn’t mean those eggs will lead to a pregnancy or a baby.
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) advises that for women under 35, the chance of having a baby from a thawed egg is currently between 18% and 30%.
If you’re thinking about egg freezing, the HFEA recommends looking at IVF success rates for people your age using fresh eggs. That’s because there’s more data available from fresh cycles, so it gives a clearer picture of what’s likely.
These success rates can also tell you a lot about a clinic’s experience with egg freezing and thawing. It’s worth asking how often they perform these procedures and what the outcomes look like. The more you know, the more confident you can feel about your next step.
