What are the age limits for intended parents having treatment through surrogacy?
Intended parents must be aged 55 or under at the time of treatment.
If you’re having treatment involving surrogacy, and using your own eggs or your partner’s sperm, either you or your partner must be aged 55 or under at the time of treatment. This is based on the welfare of the future child and the likelihood of them having a legal parent to support them through to adulthood. As with all treatment pathways, your doctor will review your medical history and circumstances to make sure surrogacy is the right fit for you.
