George graduated from the University of Crete Medical School and completed his PhD on the role of hypothalamic neuropeptides in early embryo implantation at the same University.
George completed his specialized training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University Hospital of Heraklion in Greece. Driven by his particular interest in human reproduction, he relocated to the UK early in his career and completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine. With over 10 years of experience in the field, George joined Care Fertility in 2018 as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, where he continues to contribute his expertise.
In his current role, George is involved in all aspects of Assisted Conception. His background in reproductive endocrinology and immunology has fueled a particular interest in treating couples facing repeated implantation failure and recurrent miscarriage. He is a certified trainer of the British Fertility Society, covering modules in assisted conception, management of the infertile couple, male fertility, donor-assisted conception and surrogacy, pelvic ultrasound, embryo transfer/IUI, and pre-implantation genetic testing modules. Additionally, he actively contributes to scientific research, having published his work in peer-reviewed journals.
George is a member of the British Fertility Society (BFS), of the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and a RCOG Associate.
