FERTILITY & DIVERSITY SUPPORT GROUP

A safe, three month counselling-led group for women of colour to connect, share experiences and feel seen, heard, and supported.

What to expect

Our Fertility and Diversity support group is a safe and confidential space for women from Black, Asian, mixed-heritage and other minority ethnic backgrounds who want support while navigating fertility challenges.

This is a three month programme where the same small group of women meet regularly with one of our specialist counsellors. Each session gives you time to talk openly, share experiences and explore feelings that can be hard to express elsewhere.

We know that cultural expectations, family pressures and the emotional weight of fertility treatment can sometimes feel different for women of colour. This group creates space for those conversations in a gentle and judgement-free setting, supported by someone who understands the emotional and psychological impact of fertility journeys.

You do not need to be in treatment to join. You just need a place where you can be yourself, feel seen, heard, and supported, and meet others who truly understand what you are going through. We will be with you throughout the full three months, offering continuity, connection and care at every step.

Adele King
Lead Counsellor

Adele is a Fertility Counsellor at Care Fertility with a special interest in the intersection between fertility and ethnic diversity. With experience spanning counselling, coaching, teaching, and group facilitation, she supports individuals, couples, and groups with a calm, grounded approach. As a trauma-informed practitioner, she focuses on creating a safe, compassionate space where people feel understood and supported.

Adele’s personal connection to her work is central to the care she provides. As Adele says:

“Being ethnically diverse myself, I understand first-hand the challenges that go with a fertility journey based on my own experiences as a result of a late-stage cancer diagnosis. I now work to support people on their fertility journey as part of the legacy I choose to leave.”

No. You’re welcome to join with your camera on or off. We understand that comfort levels vary, and you can choose what feels right for you on the day.
