Emily trained as a Midwife at Anglia Ruskin University, where she achieved a First-Class Honours Degree. She later completed a postgraduate qualification in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing at the University of Bedfordshire, achieving a Distinction.
Emily is also an Independent and Supplementary Prescriber, having completed her prescribing qualification at the University of Nottingham. She is currently undertaking the Level 5 Operations Manager Programme, further developing her leadership, operational management and strategic skills to support the delivery of high-quality clinical services.
Emily specialises in fertility care involving donor conception and surrogacy. Her expertise includes supporting egg donors, sperm donors, embryo donors, shared motherhood patients, egg recipients, sperm recipients and surrogacy patients throughout their treatment journeys. As Clinical Nurse and Midwifery Lead, she is responsible for supporting service development, quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with regulatory and professional standards. She is passionate about delivering personalised, patient-centred care and empowering individuals to make informed decisions throughout their fertility journey.
Career
Emily is the Clinical Nurse and Midwifery Lead for Donation and Surrogacy at Care Fertility. She provides clinical leadership and oversight across donation and surrogacy pathways, supporting both patients and colleagues to ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate and high-quality care. Emily works closely with multidisciplinary teams across the organisation to enhance patient experience, clinical outcomes and service development.
Following completion of her postgraduate studies, Emily began her healthcare career as a Health Visitor in Lincolnshire, supporting children under five years of age and their families across a wide range of public health initiatives. In 2022, she joined Care Fertility as a Donation Midwife, supporting patients and donors through fertility treatment involving donor conception. Through her passion for fertility care and patient advocacy, Emily progressed into a Specialist Practitioner role before being appointed Clinical Nurse and Midwifery Lead for Donation and Surrogacy.
