Care Fertility offers exceptional Clinical Research Fellowship opportunities for UK Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees who are keen to develop both their research and clinical skills in the field of IVF. These fellowships provide a unique chance to spend three years working on research towards a PhD, in collaboration with the University of Birmingham, allowing fellows to contribute to cutting-edge clinical research in IVF.

Academic supervision is offered locally by Dr Tom Bamford and Dr Alison Richardson, alongside the team from the University of Birmingham, led by Professor Arri Coomarasamy.

This is a brilliant opportunity to not only enhance your research expertise but also to gain hands-on experience in the IVF subspecialty and learn new clinical skills. Current fellows are based in our Northampton and Manchester clinics, with the next cohort expected to start in August 2027. These fellowships are open to those wishing to further their career in reproductive medicine through an invaluable combination of clinical exposure and high-impact research. It’s a fantastic opportunity for those looking to make significant advancements in their clinical and academic careers in IVF.

Testimonial

My Clinical Research Fellowship at Care Fertility has developed both my clinical and research skills. The mentorship has allowed me to develop professionally.  I have had the opportunity to work alongside leading experts in the reproductive field and in doing so contribute meaningfully to ongoing studies and orchestrate innovative research. It is encouraging that Care Fertility place such emphasis on evidence-based practices and commitment to patient-centered care as well as the training and development of junior clinicians.
