What is Care Classic?

Care Classic gives you a clear, supported route into IVF, with two options depending on how you want to plan your treatment and costs.

Your doctor will review your fertility tests, medical history and goals before talking you through the option that may suit you best. If additional support is recommended, they’ll explain why and make sure you understand your next steps.

 

What's included in Care Classic?

Care Classic is designed for people who want to take IVF one cycle at a time, with the essential treatment steps included and costs confirmed before treatment begins.

Your plan will be based on your fertility tests, medical history and goals, so your doctor can explain whether a single cycle is a suitable starting point for you.

Additional treatments

Care Classic includes the essential parts of IVF treatment, but it does not include additional techniques as standard. These can be added at an extra cost if your doctor feels they may support your treatment plan.

For some patients, additional techniques may offer more insight into embryo development, sperm selection or embryo genetics. They are not needed for everyone, and we’ll never expect you to make these decisions on your own. Your doctor will explain what may be helpful for your circumstances, why it is being recommended, and whether another package may be a better fit.

Optional add-ons listed for Care Classic include Caremaps-AI and PGT-A.

Caremaps Ai

Caremaps AI helps us choose the embryo with the best chance of success. Embryos are grown in a time-lapse incubator, where they’re continuously monitored without being disturbed. 

The AI has been trained on millions of embryo images, helping identify patterns linked to implantation that aren’t always visible through standard checks.

PGT-A involves removing a small number of cells from an embryo to test its chromosomes before transfer.

Around 50% of embryos are aneuploid, meaning they’re unlikely to lead to a successful pregnancy. PGT-A helps us identify and avoid these, so we can focus on embryos with the best chance.

Is Care Classic right for me?

To be eligible, you’ll need to meet a few clinical criteria. These aren’t hoops to jump through — they’re there to give you the best possible chance of success within this package, based on what we know from years of supporting patients right across the UK.

You’re using your own eggs
Your egg collection will take place before your 46th birthday
Your BMI is between 19 and 35
You’re new to IVF or have had treatment before
You do not meet the criteria for Care Value
You want a clear IVF pathway with personalised support

Why these criteria matter

Care Classic is designed to give you a clear and supported IVF pathway, while still allowing your doctor to tailor parts of your care where needed.

Your age, BMI, medical history and previous treatment experience can all affect how your body may respond to IVF medication, how your eggs may develop, and whether additional support could be helpful.

These criteria help us make sure Care Classic is a safe and suitable option for you. If your results suggest you may need more advanced support, your doctor may recommend another package, such as Care Enhanced or Care Advanced.

This does not mean treatment is out of reach. It simply means we want your package to match your body, your results and your goals, rather than trying to fit you into a pathway that is not quite right.

Initial tests and consultation

Before you start treatment, you’ll need your fertility tests and consultation. These are separate from your treatment package price and are usually completed through our Pre-treatment Bundle, priced at £575.

This bundle helps make sure you’re ready for treatment. It brings together the essential tests your doctor needs to understand your fertility health, check for anything that could affect your treatment plan, and talk you through your options with the right information in front of them.

When you call us, our new patient team will help book your tests and consultation. Your tests are completed before you see your doctor, so your consultation can focus on what your results mean, which package may be right for you, and what your next steps could look like.

Medication costs

Please be aware that medication costs are not included in the Care Classic, Care Enhanced, and Care Advanced packages. The cost of medications will vary based on your specific treatment plan and requirements.  

Medications play a crucial role in fertility treatment, and your fertility specialist will provide a tailored prescription based on your unique needs. These medications might include hormonal treatments, fertility drugs, and other specialised prescriptions to support your journey.  

We’ll ensure you have a clear understanding of any medication costs, so that you can manage your expenses effectively. If you have questions about medication costs, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to guide you through every step of your treatment.

How much does Care Classic cost? 

Care Classic single cycle starts from £4,500. 

Before treatment starts, you’ll also need your Pre-treatment Bundle, priced at £575, so your doctor can review your results and make sure you’re ready for treatment.
What is Care Classic? Care Classic is our streamlined IVF package, designed for people who want the essential parts of IVF treatment with personalised support. 
Is finance available? Unfortunately, we don't currently offer finance for Care Classic. Care Classic is paid for one cycle at a time, with costs confirmed before treatment begins.
Is medication included in Care Classic? No. Medication is not included in Care Classic. Your medication cost will depend on your treatment plan, your test results and how your doctor expects your body to respond.
Who is eligible for Care Classic? Care Classic may be suitable if your egg collection will take place before your 46th birthday and your BMI is between 19 and 35. Your doctor will confirm whether it is right for you after reviewing your test results.
Does Care Classic include PGT-A? No. PGT-A is not included as standard in Care Classic. If your doctor thinks embryo genetic testing may support your treatment plan, they’ll explain why and talk you through your options. 
Does Care Classic include Caremaps Ai? Caremaps Ai is not included as standard in Care Classic. Your doctor will explain whether this kind of embryo support may be useful for your treatment plan.
What if Care Classic is not right for me? That’s okay. Your doctor will talk you through your results and explain which package may be more suitable, whether that’s Care Value, Care Enhanced, Care Advanced or another treatment pathway.
What happens after my consultation? After your consultation, you’ll receive a summary of your results, treatment options and cost estimates through your companion app. Before treatment begins, you’ll complete viral screening blood tests, consent forms through Engaged MD, and a nurse treatment planning appointment.
