Emily O’Brien is the Nurse Manager of the Bolton Satellite Clinic and an experienced Fertility Midwife. She began her fertility career at Care Fertility after completing an elective placement at Care Fertility Manchester while training as a student midwife.
Training and expertise
Emily is a qualified midwife and holds a degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, supporting her calm, holistic approach to patient care.
She has also completed a Level 7 qualification in Ultrasound Scanning for Reproductive Medicine, further developing her specialist skills in fertility care.
Emily is passionate about continuity of care, clear communication, and creating a reassuring environment where patients feel listened to and supported at every stage.
Career
Emily O’Brien is the Nurse Manager of the Bolton Satellite Clinic and an experienced Fertility Midwife. She began her fertility career at Care Fertility after completing an elective placement at Care Fertility Manchester while training as a student midwife.
During this time, Emily completed her dissertation on antenatal anxiety in women pregnant through IVF. This strengthened her passion for fertility care, especially the patient journey and mental health awareness within fertility treatment.
Emily has since continued to grow her experience across fertility services, including helping to establish and develop a successful satellite clinic in Belfast. In her current role, she supports patients throughout their treatment journey, building strong relationships and providing consistent care within the satellite clinic setting.
