Jenny completed her combined clinical and academic specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Birmingham Women’s Foundation Hospital Trust. Here Jenny was awarded a Wellbeing of Women Clinical Research Fellowship to explore the role of vitamin D both pre-conception and during early pregnancy at the University of Birmingham. Following completion of her PhD, Jenny worked with Professor Arri Coomarasamy’s team at the Tommy’s National Centre for Miscarriage Research, broadening her research skills to include clinical trial. Jenny then moved to Leeds and has completed her specialist training and specialise in reproductive medicine and menopause care with Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust. Jenny has provided specialist fertility care at Care Fertility Leeds since 2022.
Jenny has received her MRCOG and is an accredited Royal College Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. She has also completed Royal College Advanced Specialist Menopause training and is actively involved in the British Menopause Society.
Jenny is a member of the ESHRE Specialist Interest Group for Implantation and Early Pregnancy. She is also a member of Human Fertility Editorial Board and has herself published over 30 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and written 4 book chapters.
Jenny has a strong interest in teaching and is Junior Representative for the British Fertility Society. She also helped found the UK Audit and Research Collaborative in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She holds an honorary contract with the University of Birmingham, which allows her to continue her academic work, including the supervision of research investigating immune cell function in healthy pregnancy and recurrent miscarriage.
