Dr Christos Kleanthis is Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist at Care Fertility London. Dr Kleanthis's current role includes assessment and treatment of couples experiencing conceptual delay and subfertility. He is responsible for the initial assessment, management and treatment of a wide array of pathology associated with subfertility. Dr Kleanthis is also responsible for the initial management of patients exploring the option of proceeding with egg or sperm donation treatment as well as for cryopreservation of oocytes also known as Egg Freezing. Finally, he is the lead for the management of couples considering Preimplantation Genetic Testing Treatment for inheritable conditions. In the Unit Dr Kleanthis covers theatre sessions for egg collections, embryo transfers and HyCoSY for the assessment of tubal patency and uterine cavity. He is also responsible for Transvaginal Ultrasound Scanning for couples in treatment as well as for early pregnancy scans.
Dr Kleanthis has trained in all aspects of Reproductive Medicine, Surgery and IVF at Guy’s Hospital ACU for a number of years as a Reproductive Medicine Specialist. Dr Kleanthis offers a wide range of fertility treatments, managing various complexity medical backgrounds including PCOS, endometriosis, male factor infertility and implantation failure and specializes in Preimplantation Genetics.
Dr. Kleanthis received his degree in Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina and he completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Athens, Greece. During his residency, he received a Master's in Science degree in “Research in Women’s Reproduction” from the University of Athens Medical School. He received further post specialty training in the NHS UK, during which he was sworn in as a Doctor of Medicine by the Medical School of the University of Athens, after successfully presenting his PhD thesis. During his appointment in the United Kingdom, he received further RCOG accredited specialized training in the surgical management of benign Gynecological conditions at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals. He further specialized in Reproductive Medicine, Surgery and Assisted Conception at London’s Guy’s Hospital Assisted Conception and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Unit, receiving a second accreditation from the RCOG.
