Dr. Irene Ceccacci is an experienced Gynaecologist and Fertility Consultant with a dedicated focus on reproductive medicine and assisted conception. She combines extensive clinical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centred approach to help individuals and couples achieve their dream of parenthood.
After graduating cum laude in Medicine from the University of Roma La Sapienza, Italy, in 2008, Dr. Ceccacci began her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the same institution. She later refined her expertise through a fellowship in Fetal Medicine with Professor Kypros Nicolaides in London, where she developed advanced skills in high-resolution ultrasound and early pregnancy assessment. This strong foundation in fetal and reproductive imaging continues to underpin her diagnostic approach in fertility care.
Over the years, Dr. Ceccacci has worked at several of the UK’s leading fertility and reproductive medicine centres, including King’s College Hospital in London, the Liverpool Women’s Hospital, and her current role as a Fertility Consultant at Care Fertility in Warrington and Liverpool. Her experience encompasses all aspects of assisted conception, including IVF, ICSI, and fertility preservation.
She has a particular clinical interest in complex fertility challenges such as low ovarian reserve, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, recurrent implantation failure, thin endometrium, uterine anomalies, and recurrent miscarriage. Her holistic, evidence-based approach combines the latest reproductive technologies with personalised care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Dr. Ceccacci is an active member of the British Fertility Society (BFS) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). She also serves as a trainer for the British Fertility Society, delivering specialist training in embryo transfer techniques and fertility ultrasound scanning. She is deeply committed to continuous professional development and to advancing excellence in reproductive medicine.
