Sally Doidge is the Laboratory Manager at Care Fertility Plymouth, where she oversees the day-to-day running of the laboratory and leads a dedicated team of embryologists.
Sally graduated from Loughborough University in 1994 with a BSc (Hons) in Human Biology.
She is a state-registered Clinical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the Association of Reproductive and Clinical Scientists (ARCS), and a Diplomate of the Royal College of Pathologists.
Her expertise includes IVF laboratory management, clinical embryology, quality assurance, and team leadership. Sally is passionate about maintaining the highest scientific and clinical standards while helping create a supportive and compassionate experience for patients throughout treatment.

With more than 25 years of experience in IVF, Sally is committed to delivering high standards of patient care alongside scientific and clinical excellence. Together with her team, she supports patients throughout their treatment journey, ensuring every laboratory process is carried out with care, accuracy, and safety.
Sally began her embryology training at King’s College London in 1995 before moving to the IVF unit at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 1996. In 1998, she took a career break from embryology to work as a forensic scientist before returning to Devon in 2004 to join the IVF unit at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
She was appointed Laboratory Manager in 2005 and has remained in the role ever since. In September 2023, the clinic became part of the Care Fertility group.
