Dr Stamatios (Stam) Karavolos is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education and holds a position as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. Stam has published in peer-reviewed international journals and he is involved in national policy making as a member of the RCOG guidelines committee and RCOG clinical assurance group.
Stam has extensive knowledge and experience in all fields of reproductive medicine and surgery, with clinical interests on male fertility problems and gynaecological conditions affecting fertility. He is an experienced surgeon and he maintains a busy NHS general gynaecological practice as a Consultant gynaecologist at Salford Royal Hospital. He performs procedures including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy for the removal of polyps (polypectomy), fibroids (myomectomy) and treatment of endometriosis.
