Dr Ilze Zommere is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with over 25 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Training
Dr Ilze Zommere has developed a strong focus on fertility and infertility management over the past four years of her career. During this time, she has completed British Fertility Society (BFS) training modules in the Management of the Infertile Couple and Assisted Conception, further strengthening her specialist expertise in reproductive medicine.
She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Reproductive Ultrasound, supporting her advanced clinical skills in fertility assessment and treatment planning.
Dr Zommere graduated in medicine with an MD (Doctor of Medicine) and qualified as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Latvia in 2003. She has been working within the UK NHS since 2008, where she completed advanced training skills modules in line with the UK Specialty Training curriculum.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Zommere has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Teaching, reflecting her commitment to education, training, and the development of future healthcare professionals.

Dr Ilze Zommere is a generalist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with broad expertise across a wide range of women’s health conditions. Her clinical interests include the management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and other female endocrine disorders, menstrual disorders, recurrent miscarriage, menopause care, and the management of multiple pregnancies. She takes a holistic, patient-centred approach, ensuring care is tailored to each individual’s needs.
